Goodbye Terry, Hello Donald!
First the Patriots traded Terry Glenn to the Green Bay Packers for a fourth round pick this year and a Conditional pick in 2003. The next step was filling the void...and the Patriots did just that by signing 26 year-old wide receiver Donald Hayes formerly of the Carolina Panthers. Hayes was drafted in the fourth round out of Wisconsin by Carolina in 1998 and last season he led the team with 52 receptions and 597 yards. Hayes will make 4 million over the next two seasons.

Vinatieri is guaranteed for three more years
This day and age of sports it is very rare to see anything guaranteed but the Patriots gave their kicker Adam Vinatieri what he deserved. Vinatieri's deal is worth around 1.8 million dollars a year for the next three years. The most important part being the fact that his deal is guaranteed. With the deal being guaranteed it means no matter what happens in the future Vinatieri will get all of the money in the deal, no ifs, ands, or buts about it.
